To mark the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month, a minute silence was observed at the Centre today, to remember those who have lost their lives to a brain tumour. Professor Geoff Pilkington placed a wreath at the Wall of Hope after the following poem was read by Dr. Helen Fillmore:
“We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday, and days before that too.
You are forever in our hearts.”
Brain Tumour Awareness Month will culminate in Wear A Hat Day on the 31st of March 2017. For more information on Wear A Hat Day, please visit www.braintumourresearch.org.
