Senior Research Fellow (Paediatric Neuro-oncology)
We are seeking to recruit a talented postdoctoral scientist who will become a team leader in the paediatric neuro-oncology research sub-group within the Brain Tumour Research Centre at the University of Portsmouth.
The group is currently composed of postdoctoral researchers, PhD students and technical staff along with research internship and project students. The Centre is core-funded by the charity Brain Tumour Research and this new post is supported by two paediatric brain tumour charities: Ali’s Dream and Charlie’s Challenge.
The successful candidate will have an established track record in paediatric oncology or neuro-oncology as attested to by published works in the field of laboratory-based brain tumour research. We are looking for a dedicated researcher who will communicate and interact with researchers, clinicians and patients/charity workers alike and has aspirations to become an international leader in the field.
The post is supported for three years in the first instance. The Centre already has four other research sub-groups in Tumour Microenvironment, Mitochondria and Metabolism, Therapeutics and Blood Brain Barrier respectively.
